The amazing tale of when I took a hundred pictures of one little green anole lizard who I tracked relentlessly through the bush... The tale which you will not hear quite yet. xD

I'll write a journal about it one day. :eyes: That and how great RAW files are.

Augh he's beautiful!!
I've never seen a camera capture this much detail of an anole, the scales are just so sharp and vivid! :'D

Oh, okay. xD If you insist.

Um.. I was walking back to the house from brushing the horses, and saw an anole sunning on a rock, so.. I was like OOH, I've got my camera, I should try to take pictures of it! So I kept following and shooting pictures of him until he crawled up into a jasmine bush. Or rather, a bunch of jasmine vines on a trellis. So I figured that would provide a very nice green background as well as quite a natural-looking environment for him, and proceeded harassing the poor lizard. And actually, getting close-up pictures isn't that hard. You just have to resist from moving your feet or losing eye contact or he'll run away like the little scaredyanole he is, just like the rest of his brothers. I just positioned myself as close to the trellis as possible and kept moving my camera closer with each photo. Ahm.. I'm not sure you'd have such luck with any anoles in your area, though, because the ones here are a bit more tolerant to human presence than others I've seen, like the ones in Florida. Oh, and since my brother had revealed to me that day the wonders of RAW format, I was able to then crop the photo very nicely to remove all the background distraction. So.. no, I didn't really have to get that close, only about 6 inches I'd say from the lens to the lizard.

Bwahaha, did you like my story? I worked hard on it! xD
Thanks for the compliment <3

aw, you're very welcome :D

and I don't know if you could call me outstanding...but then again, I'm my own worst critic =P
(but thank you )

It was a very fascinating story and I loved it very much. I don't think I would have much luck with anoles in my area, mostly because I don't think we have anoles in my area. They would all turn blue and die from the cold.
Lynxeh... I don't think I'll ever be able to forgive myself. I just left By Moonlight.
